Log Plays

You can log plays in Ludoya to keep track of your gaming sessions. This will help you keep a record of the games you played, the players you played with, and the scores you achieved.

Where to Start

Simply click on the big play button at the bottom of the screen to open the "New Play" view.

If you do that from a game page, the game will be pre-filled in the play form.

Players

You will be added automatically as a player in the play. You can add other players by typing in the "Players" field.

A list of matching players will appear, and you can select the ones you want to add to the play. You can also add "non-user" players by typing their names directly.

Players can also be removed by clicking on the "x" button next to their names.

Game

You can search for the game you want to log a play for by typing its name in the "Game" field. Before typing, you will also see a list of recently played games.

There is also an option to let Ludoya choose a game for you.

Expansions

If you want to log a play for an expansion, you can do that by enabling the "Playing with expansions" toggle. This will show a list of expansions for the selected game, and you can select any number of them to include in the play.

Play vs Log

You can choose between "Play" and "Log" modes. In "Play" mode, you can log a play in real-time, while in "Log" mode, you can log a play that happened in the past.

The "Play" mode:

  • Offers the possibility to select a Play Helper to assist you during the play.
  • Allows you to track the time spent setting up the game, the time spent playing, and the time spent scoring/cleaning up. This will give you a more accurate playtime for the game.
  • Has a first player randomizer that will help you determine the starting player for the game.
  • Has a score sheet where you can add the scores for each player, as well as selecting the winner(s) of the game.

The "Log" mode:

  • Allows you to log a play that happened in the past. You can select the date and time of the play.
  • Offers the possibility to edit each player's score, color and the winner(s) of the game.
  • Has a "Plays" and a "Duration" field where you can specify the number of plays and the total duration.
